Constant Obsession: Beards

I love beards. I do. Anyone who knows me {in real life or on the internet} is likely sick of hearing me talk about my obsession with facial hair of all kinds {save the chinstrap, goatee, and soul patch}, so I’m going to keep this short and sweet. Thanks to the lovely crew over at StuffinmyBeard I have spent the last hour or so perusing the men from Beard Team USA. Here are some of my favorites.

My desire to twirl these ‘staches feels illegal.

I’m not going to lie, I kind of just want to take my fingers and run them through each and every one of those beards. For hours. I want to get my hands all up in there and scratch their poor, claustrophobic chins. I wanna . . . okay, I’m going to stop before this gets too creepy.

Point is, I love me some beards, and the men who rock them. Keep up the good work, gentlemen.

Constant Obsession: Treehouses

I never had a treehouse as a kid. I don’t think I know anyone who did. I’ve been slowly making a canopy for my bed so that I can feel like I’m tucked away in a treehouse or a fort {we loved making forts when I was a kid}, but what I really want is a treehouse. These photos are from baumraum. I would love to have one of these to hide out in.

Oh, and I should note that I did have a super sweet cabin under an evergreen when I was a little one. My grandfather and Uncle Jim built it for me and my brother and I would fill glass jars with grass and fireflies and sit in there at night using them as lanterns during summer visits. I remember the way it smelled, the way it was always damp, the moss that clung to the logs after a few summers . . . it was probably my favorite place in the whole entire world.
